Day Program

Day Program

Our Day Program may be utilized by families who have children aged 21 years or younger being treated in Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital or Blythedale Children’s Hospital and who are not currently guests of the House. Open seven days a week, 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. families can use the kitchen and dining area to cook and eat (dishes, cookware and utensils are provided); living area to relax, read, or work; playroom and game room for children; and laundry facilities (detergent is provided).

Our Rejuvenation Room is available for families to reserve for 3 hour blocks 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. OR 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. to shower and rest. Please complete a daily request to use the room for each day you would like to use the room. Please note, you must apply and be approved to the Day Program first.

In order to be considered for acceptance to any RMHGHV program, individuals must:

Agree to complete background checks for any applicant over the age of 18. RMHGHV reserves the right to refuse admittance to any potential guest applicant with a criminal conviction. Acceptance or continuation of RMHGHV services are contingent upon an acceptable background check. Individuals that refuse to complete a background check are not eligible to receive services.

Families with symptoms or recent diagnosis of coronavirus or another contagious illness are not eligible until medically cleared

The legal parent or guardian of the patient must agree to allow the treating hospital to release to RMHGHV, information pertaining to the patient, including but not limited to: diagnosis, length of treatment, condition, etc.

Families with an open child protective services case may not be eligible for services. Please speak to your hospital social worker before submitting a request.
