Special Events Volunteer

Purpose of Position:
Events Volunteers assist with community outreach and fundraising events. Candidates for this position must have a flexible schedule. Shifts depend upon the event.

Potential Responsibilities:
• Prior to the day of the event – assistance with obtaining donations and sponsorships from local businesses
• Prior to the day of the event – run errands such as going shopping for
needed products
• Prior to the day of the event – assistance with administrative tasks such as mailings (stuffing envelopes, labeling, etc)
• Day of the event — assisting with set-up, decorating, registration, selling raffle tickets, silent auction set-up, etc
• Day of the event — assist with clean-up
• Provide information/answer questions for guests/participants
• Assist staff as needed
**You would have the choice of which activity you’d prefer to assist with from this list**

• Being flexible – shifts depend upon event

• Able to represent the house in a professional manner

• Training can be in written form or done on the day of the event
