Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley Honored at The Arc Westchester’s Golfing Outing

On June 9th, staff and board members of the The Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley attended the ARC Westchester’s annual Golfing for Kids outing. After a full day of Golf, attendees enjoyed an awards banquet, silent auctions and golf prizes! As a whole, the event raised over $230,000 for children with developmental disabilities such as Down syndrome and autism.

At the end of the night, ARC Westchester honored RMHGHV with the Community Partner Award recognizing the recent collaboration that has benefited both organizations tremendously. RMHGHV has partnered with ARC Westchester for their Pull Tab Collection, where individuals and groups help collect recycled beverage tabs and ARC helps by transporting them to the local recycling center. The tabs contribute towards the cost for for families stay in the House. Samantha Makris of ARC Westchester, who serves as our Pull Tab Ambassador, raised $500 worth of pull tabs for our House in 2018. ARC has also recently partnered with RMHGHV by baking for families as part of the Meals that Heal program.

We are so grateful to the ARC Westchester for our continuous collaborations and are so honored by the award from the golf outing! We look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come. Visit their organization’s website to learn more about their mission: www.ARCWestchester.org
