Our Programs

What We Do

To qualify for a room, the family must have a child who is 21 years or younger and receiving care in Westchester County. There is often a wait list for a room. Rooms are given based on the critical nature of the patient and distance from the family’s home to the hospital.

Our Day Program may be utilized by families who have children aged 21 years or younger being treated in Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital or Blythedale Children’s Hospital and who are not currently guests of the House.

Our rejuvenation room is a sanctuary where you can take a break from the demands of the day and focus on self-care. To be eligible for the Rejuvenation Room, you must apply and be approved to the Day Program first.

General Policies

In order to be considered for acceptance to any RMHGHV program, individuals must agree to complete background checks for any applicant over the age of 18. RMHGHV reserves the right to refuse admittance to any person convicted of any other matters that RMHGHV believes, in its sole discretion, has the potential to put the safety and health of other guests at risk. Determinations regarding program services/employment/volunteerism for individuals with criminal convictions will be made on a case by case basis in accordance with applicable law. Individuals that refuse to complete a background check are not eligible to receive services.

Families with symptoms or recent diagnosis of coronavirus or another contagious illness are not eligible until medically cleared.

The legal parent or guardian of the patient must agree to allow the treating hospital to release to RMHGHV, information pertaining to the patient, including but not limited to: diagnosis, length of treatment, condition, etc.

Families with an open child protective services case may not be eligible for services. Please speak to your hospital social worker before submitting a request.

Please note this is not a comprehensive list of all RMHGHV policies. Rules and policies will be reviewed and signed upon check-in.
