Program Details
Our house accommodates 12 families each night in private bedrooms with baths. The House also includes a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, play room and lounge area.
To qualify for a room, the family must have a child who is 21 years or younger and receiving care in Westchester County. There is often a wait list for a room. Rooms are given based on the critical nature of the patient and distance from the family’s home to the hospital.
We never turn a family away due to inability to pay.
Our House is accessible to our families 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. The office is open seven days per week from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

In order to be considered for acceptance to any RMHGHV program, individuals must agree to complete background checks for any applicant over the age of 18. RMHGHV reserves the right to refuse admittance to any person convicted of any other matters that RMHGHV believes, in its sole discretion, has the potential to put the safety and health of other guests at risk. Families with symptoms or recent diagnosis of coronavirus or any another contagious illness are not eligible until medically cleared.
The legal parent or guardian of the patient must agree to allow the treating hospital to release to RMHGHV, information pertaining to the patient, including but not limited to: diagnosis, length of treatment, condition, etc.
Families with an open child protective services case may not be eligible for services. Please speak to your hospital social worker before submitting a request.
